Polski wkład w przyrodoznawstwo i technikę. Słownik polskich i związanych z Polską odkrywców, wynalazców oraz pionierów nauk matematyczno-przyrodniczych i techniki (Polish Contribution to Natural Science and Technology. A Dictionary of Polish and Poland-Related Explorers, Inventors and Pioneers in Mathematics, Natural Sciences and Technology), edited by Professor Bolesław Orłowski, is a five-volume publication issued by the Institute for the History of Science of the Polish Academy of Sciences and the Institute of National Remembrance. It brings together biographies of individuals whose work and achievements form an important part of the Polish contribution to the history of science and technology.

Alongside the printed edition, the dictionary is also available in digital form. The “Giants of Science” website provides access to a database of selected biographical entries from this publication, which will be successively supplemented with new items. The dictionary may serve not only researchers, but also teachers, students, pupils, and all those interested in the history of science and technology.
